On February 4, Curt G. Joa, Inc. received Lakeshore Technical College’s Top Tech Award for promoting career and technical education in Sheboygan County.

Nominated for its partnership with Plymouth High School, Joa works to improve the school’s technology education and engineering instruction by:

• Offering instructor training by employing Plymouth’s career and technical education teachers in the summer to help them gain better insight of what is expected of students going into industry.
• Providing students an opportunity to work on industry standard parts, giving them real-world experience.
• Consulting on problems encountered during course instruction and assisted with tooling selection and ordering.

Joa also works to improve career and technical education across Sheboygan County as an active member of the Sheboygan County Economic Development Association and Inspire Sheboygan County. Joa continues to participate in the Sheboygan County Project GRILL program and Lakeshore Technical College's Youth Apprentice Program.
